PDF Form Filler App Reviews

I bought PDF Form Filler to aid me in filling out PDF forms on my computer. It works excellent. When I first opened the program the Menu bar appeared at the top of the screen but my desk top was unchanged. I went to the file menue and from there I Selected the open option and then I opened the PDF that I had saved to my desktop. I clicked on the text selection box and simply left clicked my mouse where I wanted to Place my text. if Idid not like where I clicked I could reposition the coursor and left click again and the text would begin in the new position. When I printed the PDF document it came out exactly the way I filled it out. After using this program for one document and not testing all the features why did I give it 5 STARS? Because Apple Computers and Programs Should be like getting in your car and Driving to your destination. You should not have to spend time fixing your car before you go. This program falls within that idea. Load the Program, open the PDF, Click the text box, Enter the text where you need to, Save, print, Your Done. I hope this works as well for you as it did for me.

What Ive been looking for

This is a great app for quickly filling out PDF form, without printing it out and scanning it back. The checkmark stamp is a great tool! Love it.

Quick way to fill out and send forms, its just awesome. I can now email back a pdf to my supplier without having to fax. Just about to cancel my fax machine LOL.

This is a very nice little app, Ive found it to be much easier to fill out form now. It has a lot of potential. I couldnt get it to open on my mac at first, and soon figured it out that I need to click File->Open to launch the app, other than that, its great.

I bought this one based on the good reviews but so far Im not impressed. I had been using a less expensive PDF app but was getting frustrated with it so I thought Id try something that cost more and had better reviews. This one really isnt any better. Maybe Im missing something here, but why are the checkmarks so large? I know you can resize them, but it should remember what size you prefer and keep that as the default so you dont have to resize every single time. I also tried copying and pasting the resized checkmarks, but theres no pasting capability. Unlike other PDF software, it also doesnt have shortcuts like "Command-T" for selecting the Text tool.

I was looking for a PDF tool that would be able to handle PDF forms that had been edited on windows. This program acts just like naitive Preview app -- and any Windows-authored form data is missing. Other features seem unpolished.

please modify : -get rid of the sidebar, or allow us to have the option to not see it -i have to constantly change the color of the font to the certain color that i want; there should be a setting so that i can constantly have a certain color/font/size etc.

Fine for filling in a form, just dont expect it to save your work. The "Save" feature just doesnt work. When you open the file again, all you see is jibberish.

This app seems to fill PDF forms at first but there are problems: 1. The input text is too big. When I add 9-point text to the form, it shows up a few points larger. If I open the same file in Preview, its the correct size but offset to the left and up. So its actually quite tricky getting text into the correct location on the form. 2. The check marks are huge by default. The app doesnt remember my preferred check mark size, so I have to resize each check mark. This is quite tedious. 3. If I save the file and close it and then reopen it in this app, none of what I previously added is editable any more. This is the worst of the three problems because it means I have to get it right the first time.

I installed this and it worked immediately on my tax organizer forms. Open the form, click on the text icon and go! I played around with some of the other functions and they worked well. Resizing the checkmarks is a pain, but using an X from your selected font does what most forms need. Copy and paste from Numbers spreadsheets worked well. Placing and resizing pictures was easy. Worth every penny. I’m using OSx 10.9.1.

It does indeed allow you to type in an existing form, but font size and alignment is awkward. When you click your cursor to what appears to be the correct vertical alignment, it puts the text below the line, so you try to guess how high you need to put the box for the text to show up correctly aligned - only to find out that it prints higher than it shows. Would love if it would just show the text correctly. Also, would be a nice feature if it could wizard the blanks in a form and automatcially create text boxes in those locations, so you could just tab through the form and type. Would be willing to pay more for such a feature.

If you fill out forms with cells, it will look great within PDF Form Filler, but when you see the ‘mastered’, printable version, it will not match up. After three hours of editing an 18-page document, we are now filling it in by hand. It might be useful for some, but I probably won’t launch this program again. To me, it’s useless.

It seem like it’s an OK app. But I can’t really see where this purchase has improved the functionality over Apple’s native app “Preview”. From what I can see, Preview performs just as well, and it’s built into the OS for free.

I filled put 10 pages and it looked fine in the app. When saved and opened in pdf the text is nowhere near where I put it. Thanks for wasting my time, another dopey developer.
